While you are out shopping for some new spring fashions, think about these top trends.
There was a clear fashion message coming from the Spring/Summer 2015 runways. It was interesting to see so many designers come together and build upon some universal trends. Here are my top eight trends spotted for Spring/Summer 2015.
Fringe! It is everywhere! From bags to clothing to jewelry! I have lived long enough to have lived through the fringe phase before. I do love it though, I am glad to see it back. I had a brown miniskirt with fringe off of either hip that I gifted to a daughter that has long since been given away. Ah well.
I would suggest wearing one piece at a time, too much fringe can be a little overwhelming. Love the skirt and of course the jewelry, don’t you?
If you are not familiar with the French artist Marie Christophe’s work, well, you are welcome. Ms. Christophe has the gift of turning a simple wire into a decorative object. She is uniquely creative. Beautiful, clean lines combined with simple shapes in a delicate transparent frame. A cage of sorts but not at all confining. I find her work to be very elegant. “The crucial moment is when a sculpture finally becomes an animal or an object; when it get it’s recognizable and ultimate identity” says Marie Christophe.
Spring is in the air. Sigh. Sadly, not quite yet. Spring fashion on the other hand is everywhere. There are five key trends that are all over the fashion magazines and are showing up in the stores. Black and white, icy pastels, white, a hint of pink and metallics. Go forth and purchase, you have my permission.
As promised, here is the second installment of the Christmas Cocktail by Sharon Santoni. Enjoy!!
After a late night celebrating Christmas Eve with her friends, with Madame de la Garenne and of course the newly discovered Frederic, Mathilde woke early to tidy the apartment before appearing on duty at the hospital.
