Anglo American, the diamond miner and marketer, saw a sales increase of 11 percent over the last year from $6.40 billion to $7.11 billion, with rough diamond sales up 12 percent to $6.5 billion. The average realized diamond prices held steady at $198 per carat, driven by a 5 percent higher average rough price index but offset by a marginally lower product mix.
I am laughing out loud. I just watched the Chanel Fall/Winter RTW 2014 show. It was set in a stylized supermarket. The models are supposed to be ‘us’ and how we really dress in our day to day lives. Did you ever think you would see tennis shoes, trainers, sneakers, whatever you want to call them become so chic? I know they are EVERYWHERE. I guess the point is, they are not going away, we must embrace them.
