Happy Monday! I am very tired this morning. My husband and I and a great girlfriend of mine threw our three daughters (our two, her one) a high school graduation party yesterday. There were at least 80 kids, throw in some adults, a photo booth and heck yeah, it was a party! The photo booth was my friend’s idea and what a great idea it was. The kids loved it. A good time was had by all and I must say, our future looks bright with this great group of young people. Extraordinary people to be sure. One more thing, we are blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful friends and family, thank you one and all.
They have one more week of school and then the actual graduation day. I am looking forward to things slowing down a bit.
As a result, this is a post about a little bit of this and a little bit of that, just a collection of some musings from the web. The roller coaster photo kind of sums up the way I have been feeling lately.
When Kurt Andersen took over as editor of New York Magazine, he wrote a list of all the words he found annoying and told his staff not to use them during his tenure. What do you think? Any words that send you over the edge? I will add “like,” “awesome” and “for sure.”

The good news is after our long, hard winter our roads around our little town have been milled and paved. The bad news is, the paving company took a really long time to pave and as a result, everyone had been driving on really rough roads. Lots of people got flat tires including myself (an hour before prom photos) as well as a girlfriend of mine, when we were riding together with another friend in her car on the highway in the express lanes. This all happened in the same week. So, I thought everyone could use a little reminder about how to change a flat tire. I will confess, I called the auto club and when I was with my girlfriend on the highway we called the police, who called the guy, who’s job it is to patrol the highway looking for people like us to assist on a road where people are traveling at 80 miles an hour. He was great by the way. Thank you again kind stranger!
